The animated piece ‘For Freedom’ has been selected to be screened at the 2017 edition of the Asia Peace Film Festival (AFPP) in Pakistan.
Directed by Ahmad Khoshniyat, the animation, along with some 30 other Iranian titles, has been accepted into the main screening program of the event.
‘For Freedom’ is an artistic work which has a poetic take on the last moments in the life of Iranian poet and journalist Farrokhi Yazdi.
Starting on September 21, the event will also screen a number of short films and animated pieces from Pakistan, Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, China, Turkey, India, Korea, Russia, Japan and some other Asian countries.
The festival will be held with the assistance of 11 Asian countries in order to commemorate the International Day of Peace.
The 2017 edition of the APFF is slated for September 21-23 in Islamabad, Pakistan.
